Mason King

P Skill Development Coach

Mason King began his career at Louisville as a walk-on Punter in 2015. After redshirting, he quickly established himself as the starting Punter and Holder on his way to becoming a four-year starter from 2016 to 2019. King started his career in rarefied air, averaging 43.9 yards per Punt as a freshman, a single-season school record. He finished his career with 225 Punts, 9,553 yards for a 42.5-yard average, and backed the opposition inside their own 20-yard line 62 times.

King started 50 games in his career, combining with the Punt Coverage unit to only allow 82 Punts to be returned and never surrender a Punt Return Touchdown. King established himself as a Captain at Louisville and one of the best Punters in the country, being recognized on the Watchlist for the award for the Nation’s Top Punter in 2018. Louisville won 27 games during King’s career and appeared in three Bowl games. King’s Post Football career has taken him into the Insurance world while also devoting time to helping other Punters hone their skills.
